The Commercial Vertical Manager will be responsible for working an exclusive vertical segmentation in a defined geographic area. This includes the development of new territory as well as in some cases the management of existing territory.
Successful candidates will be able to develop relationships with key decision-makers, identify customer needs, and effectively communicate ideas through oral and written presentations as well as quantify and resolve customer objections, problems and needs in a professional manner.
Our Commercial Vertical Manager is responsible for:
- Understanding of products/potential customers (training provided, see below)
- Effective question asking and information gathering
- Consultative Sales process - we have over 7,000 products and many solutions outside of fitness
- Networking/Prospecting - (we provide leads when they come through our website/hotline/manufacturers however CVM will be responsible for generating new opportunities)
- Developing quotes and product comparisons (using Microsoft Excel) - technical support team available for assistance
- Customer Resource Manager (CRM) Entries (training provided)
- Account management - in existing territories and of new customers. Repeat business is a large part of our revenue stream.
The CVM is not responsible for marketing collateral creation, logistics, product/vendor management, installation/maintenance, or financing. A full sales, technical and administrative support team is in place to help with a variety of issues.
After demonstrated professionalism, integrity and quantifiable success in the field, there are opportunities to be promoted to additional leadership/management roles, including Commercial Territory Manager.
Requirements
INDUSTRY TRANSITIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Fitness industry training and mentorship provided.
Passionate, high integrity, self-starter (We don't micromanage!) great listener, persuasive, exceptional customer service, high cold calling activity/comfort, follow-up skills, and professionalism are all characteristics of a successful Vertical Manager.
Relationship building skills - sincere, humble, and great at asking questions. While we have thousands of products, our sales are relationship based not product based.
Important to have comfort with Microsoft Excel (Basic knowledge of spreadsheets, inserting rows, creating formulas).
Training
A new team member will attend the Wilkins Enterprises Sales Academy, a highly rated 40 hour PRACTICAL training program for fitness sales professionals. During training, we review all facets of the Wilkins Fitness, our customers/potential customer and in depth understanding of the largest portfolio of solutions in the industry.
Following your entry into the field, we offer a plethora of continuing education, sharing of best practices and mentoring. Wilkins Fitness believes strongly that it is in everyone's best interest to facilitate mutual success, so we don't hide good ideas from each other!
Compensation
- Uncapped compensation - Income Range for first year Vertical Representative between $55k-$95k (top performers over $125k first year).
- Second year earnings projected at $80k-150k.
